Before the competition of the FISU World University Cheerleading Championship kicks off, the General Technical Meeting (GTM) for the competition was held at Serneke Prioritet Arena in Gothenburg.
Coaches and officials gathered to discuss the rules, regulations, and logistics of the competition, foster a sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship among the countries. Representatives from each participating country were introduced to FISU policies and all necessary information about the event.
GTM was opened with a speech from Nomsa Mahlangu, FISU Executive committee member, who kindly greeted everyone.
Ina Tiittula, Organizing Committee Competition Manager, gave the technical information for all aspects of the organization with an emphasis to spread the information so teams can be up to date with all that is happening. The floor was then given to Karl Olsen, the FISU Technical Committee Chair for Cheerleading, who provided an overview of the technical matters related to the competition.
Tapio Kallio, FISU International Medical Committee member, Sofie Lewerentz, Organising Committee Event Manager and Katarina Eriksson, International Cheer Union Technical Committee Vice-chair were also present at the meeting.
The enthusiasm and energy are palpable as the participants make their final preparations. We can’t wait to witness the passion and talent on the floor.
